You have a whole lot on your plate, but at least from where I'm sitting, you seem to handle it all with grace. I'd probably be in a corner, shaking and crying right now.

(I mean, I am in a corner shaking and crying right now, because we had our inspection yesterday and it wasn't hot at all, and we're having Serious Talks about withdrawing our offer.)

I handle everything with grace...online ;) Shaking and crying would probably be preferable; when I'm stressed I get short-tempered and withdrawn ( ... )

Heeeee. Yeah, we've read a lot of books on houses and decorating and all of that, and while it can be nice to sit and read sometimes, I rarely find any of the advice practical.

The problem is, we had already offered at the far end of our budget, and with the repairs and such we'd need to do...well, I don't know that I really want to forego cable, internet, eating out ever, etc., etc. And I certainly don't want to deplete my savings. I don't know. Part of me wishes it were cheaper to rent in my neck of the woods, because it would be a whole hell of a lot easier.

Home and garden books are like cookbooks. I love to read them but only a few make it to useful status. Eye candy and sometimes depressing. Often funny ( ... )
