Just a brief bit of a post. Last week before the end of summer camp-school gap. We're heading out on a road trip (more about that later) then it's the big run up to the start of school

Matthew Gray Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid in Criminal Minds). There are, shall we say, reasons, I watch that show ;)
He changes haircuts each season, and apparently it's a bit of an event, awaiting the new hair.

Ugh, text. I mostly gave up trying to do text icons. I might toss an odd word on here and there, but I think it's one of those things you can't learn from a tutorial. Either you've got it, or you don't.

All I can do is crop and add text (usually illegible text). I want to do all that other fun stuff; color and texture and lighting. Maybe someday.

This is one of the simpler ones I'm working on...what do you think?

Oh, that's a wonderful cap. And you don't have the text on top of them, which is one of my peeves. The only thing I'd recommend is to brighten up a little bit. Are you using Photoshop? There's quite a few different things you could do, just to get that image to really pop next to the white text.

I have no idea how to brighten things. I'm using the Gimp (cause, you know, free!)

Isn't it a nice picture? I have a bunch of Susan and Delenn, and of course John and Delenn, from Sleeping in Light. I've been using lines of poetry and such, from all sorts of sources, about the Orpheus and Eurydice myth. Some of the text overlaps the people, but I tried to set them off a bit or over clothing (like this one). Sigh. My aspirations exceed my capabilities.
