Sunday Evening in Sunny Maryland
Just a brief bit of a post. Last week before the end of summer camp-school gap. We're heading out on a road trip (more about that later) then it's the big run up to the start of school.
My John/Anna story is almost done but I haven't found any time to work on it this weekend. It'll be posted (if I finish it) unbeta'd in all likelihood. I can't seem to figure out icon-making. The Sleeping in Light/Orpheus&Eurydice ones I'm working on are text-heavy and need to be readable. When I read thru tutorials and the like I keep tripping over concepts I don't get, and I need to do it on my big laptop rather than the netbook so I can see what I'm doing which limits my time to work on them. It's a neat concept, and I hope to get them legible enough to post. The other story (Heart's Desire) is even more stalled than John/Anna so I'm thinking not this month. Shame, it's got a great hook.
I'm up and down like a yo-yo emotionally and tired of it. Busy work week, then off for two solid weeks. I think I'll like that, although I really wish I could go somewhere quiet and peaceful for the interim. I hope to do some fun stuff with #2 while #1 is visiting his grandparents. My mom and dad are talking about coming over to visit, and returning #1 at the same time. Which is a mixed thing what with worrying over Dad's driving but loving to see them and really liking not having to drive over to pick up #1 just before school starts.
2nd and 7th grades this year! Wow.
Now to finish dinner, and watch some teevee.
