The Tension Mounts, and I Fiddle

Mar 25, 2010 08:39

This is going to be a very tense week or so, with deadlines and decisions, re-adjustments and revelations. All Greek to you, I know, but that's all I can do.

Last night I went through all my fic and compiled a roster with word counts and dates posted (to LJ, since that is generally first). I am preparing to start archiving them at AO3 since that ( Read more... )

I have got to remember to define acronyms! Archive Of Our Own (AO3 is a little cutesy but so is the long title.) at

http://archiveofourown.org/

I wanted to use my own website as an archive, but if I wait until I get that going, I'll die of old age first. It also galls me that there are only 274 B5 fics there. That's just not right. And LJ can be hard for folk to navigate. I post a lot of junk that's not fic, and although I'm getting better at tagging, I can't even find some of my stories sometime! FF.Net is okay, and I like the people there, but AO3 has a nice look and is meant to be around for a while.

I don't think I'll ever get to that place where I would cut them loose forever. Soft-hearted and soft-headed, that's me.

That's a lovely icon, btw. One of yours?

(And yes, I will noir-up anything!

That you will! (And you should go on doing it, as you do it so well.)

Now you need a 'Noir It Up' icon...

I have to burn CDs or transfer MP3s for the trip. Lots of your soundtracks I've downloaded and not had time to even upzip. Maybe while I'm finishing up my taxes tonight *gloom*

I love that poem. The centre cannot hold, indeed.
