Pictures of Dom

Feb 27, 2004 00:01

I was explaining to shirecreature that I'm currently lusting after Dom Monaghan because I can't resist a man in eyeliner. So I wanted to find a pic to show her but I can't find any... help?

I did find this one he just looks hot.

Also, was I the only one who was wondering if Rosie or Ellen would get married first? Rosie wins!

left-wing liberal nutjob, lotrips

That's a good one, yeah??

I was pretty stunned about Rosie, but good for her! They've been together a long time and seem very happy!

Ooo, that is a good one!

I think shirecreature is right though, I think Rosie was going for publicity more than anything else. But I still hope for the best for them!

PS I lurve your icon!!!

Ellen would not have used this issue to further her own publicity as Rosie is doing, she's just trying to get her fat face in the press again. The more she shows it the less people listen to her, she needs to go away, stay home and play with her kids or something.

Very cute picture of Dom!

You know, I have to admit I haven't been watching the news over the last couple of weeks... how did this whole marriage thing get started? Did a law change? If so, how is it just SF and not all of California?

so confused...

As a response to Bush's state of the union address, the mayor of SF decided to start issuing gay marriage licenses, which is apparently legal under non-descrimanation laws of the Constitution, but not legalunder state law, that's how the state of Calif. gets into it. Arnie has said he would overturn these licenses because it's not legal under state law. The mayor of SF is nwo suing the state to allow the licenses, and the ensuing marriages, to be legal. And now there's a bill in the Congress to deem gay marriage unConstitutional, although I don't think that one's going to get passed so quickly.

It's always seemed to me like this is a separation of church and state issue, rather than a legal issue.

I would think that after Anne Heche, Ellen would swear off women for good! LOL And where's Melissa and her gf?

I got forwarded (by a VERY roundabout way) an email announcing that someone I knew about a decade ago, back in my activist days, had gotten married. She and her partner were the 2,866th gay couple married at SF city hall.

You had activist days? Cool!

Oh yes, did I have activist days! I used to do tons of stuff with ACT-UP and their lesser-known spinoff group called WHAM (Women's Health Action and Mobilization). Mostly I escorted patients into family planning clinics and I travelled all over the East Coast doing it. I have a Commendation from the Manhattan borough president thanking me for my service. I remember the woman who got married in SF because when we'd go out to eat she'd always leave a condom for the waitperson, in addition to a tip! LOL

LOL! Well, I guess that's a good idea... but I don't think I'd use a condom given to me by a complete stranger

WooHoo! Boys in eyeliner...can't go wrong there *g*
As for Rosie getting married, it most certainly was a publicity move. As for Ellen (who by the way, would be my type if I were a lesbian...I just love her) is supposed to be having a ceremony in the spring or summer. Melissa E. got married just recently.

As for marriage, gay or other wise, to me is a legal matter in the sense that it's a contract between consenting adults. You certainly need a lawyer to get out of a marriage. I am so angry with Bush trying to legislate hate. And I heard recently that it was Clinton that put into action the Defense of Marriage Act, defining marriage as between a man and a woman. I personally don't care if there is 2-3-4 or how many involved...if all are consenting adults, who gives a flip. I must do some more research but for now I need a nap...seriously this whole thing has kept me up nights boiling with anger and sadness.

I read a letter to the editor in the newspaper today from someone who was arguing that considering the high rate of (hetero) divorce, if gays were allowed to marry too the courts would get bogged down from processing all those divorces! LOL Why not just ban all marriage then - that would do wonders for the divorce rate.

Have a good nap!

I think Bush is just doing what his right-wing oil/NRA buddies are telling him to do, he's nothing but a puppet. And I also bet half those guys have lousy marriages, cheat on their wives, and get bj's from male hookers on the weekends.
