LlamaEnc - a Windows video encoding GUI

Do you have the encoding blues? Always worried about whether you are using the correct settings? Don't know what to do if your video is PAL or if it's 24fps?

Worry no longer!

LlamaEnc is designed as an almost-one-click program for creating the m2v and wav files that we at Vividcon prefer for video submissions. It accepts most major video formats ( Read more... )

Even though I'm fairly happy with Premiere's mpeg-2 encoding, I'm still very excited to try this! :D

You're sorta the reason I started making this. When you emailed me about converting from PAL to NTSC I started writing a lengthy reply and then realised I could just try and make a program that would do it automatically. So I got sidetracked as the program became good really fast and never quite got back to you :)

Are you sure the m2v still has sound? It's a bit surprising as the encoder cannot attach sound to mpeg streams. It's more likely that you are using a media player that does auto playback of both streams provided they have the same name. Media Player Classic does this (and it's really handy for me to check VVC entries for that very reason :P).

Movs can be tricky, particularly if they were encoded with variable bitrate as you often get crazy fps results with duplicated frames and the like.

Thanks for the feedback :)

Worst case scenario, you could always pass me the mov file too and if I have time I could try and see if I can do any better :)

I've been running into some problems. This error message keeps coming up: TomsMoComp: Supports YUY2 and YV12 color formats only. And if I try to continue from that point, it doesn't encode. Little help? :)

Darn, I thought tomsmocomp supported RGB as well. I can fix it, but I'll have to make a new version of the program. Shouldn't take too long, I'll respond soon.

Thanks for letting me know!
