USPS sucks

Since both Jen and I were going to be gone for 3 weeks over winter break, we decided that having our mail held would be a good idea.  We were pleased that the USPS website had an online form that let  you specify what dates you wanted your mail held, thus saving us a theoretical trip to the post office.  So we filled out the form having them stop

If possible, they always stop the mail one day ahead to make sure the carrier does not leave mail on the stop date. So remember that in the future. You did give them a short notice.
