Random annoyance.

You know what annoys me? (well, one of the things anyways...)

When something gives/asks for weight in grams/kilograms. That's not weight!!!

Pounds are weight. Ounces are weight. Newtons are weight.

Grams (kilo- etc) are NOT weight. They are mass ( Read more... )

Hmm wait till you come to Canada. Everything is in Meters, Kilograms, And Kilometers up here. And anyways your weight is your mass. :P *never have studied physics* la la la...

As quoted from "Economic Experts"

Officially the pound is the name for at least three different units of mass:

* the pound (avoirdupois)
* the troy pound
* the obsolete imperial pound

I've been to Canada before: I love it there!!!!!!!!!!!! It make sense!!!

The US seriously needs to switch to metric. We waste millions of dollars every year because of it! When conversions are made (importing and exporting) they're rounded, and that wastes money. Plus, base ten is SOOOOOOOO much easier!

Imperial is so stupid!

12 inches = 1 foot
3 feet = 1 yard
1,760 yards = 1 mile

It's just stupid! There isn't ANY base!

Yep Metric is easier.

10 mm = 1 cm
100 cm = 1 m
1000 m = 1km

Way easier. :P Love base 10. It makes figuring out distance easier.

Grandma and Grandpa's house is about 800Km away. So that makes it:
800,000 metres, or 80,000,000 centimetres .
I'm not even going down into milimetres.

But you could go down to millimeters really easily, because it's so nice and logical! Plus, it's easy/automatic to do scientific notation in metric, it's a royal PitA to do in in the imperial system.

Seriously, the imperial system makes so little sense that the people who invented it switched back to metric!
