requests now CLOSED. I'LL BE BACK WITH FANMIX COVERS SOON!

Hi guys!

So I just discovered fanmixes--I don't know why it took me forever and a day--and I wanted to do something to pay the fandom/fanmix community back.

So! If you've ever wanted to make a fanmix but wished you had better graphic skills, now's the time to make one anyway! For the next 7 ( Read more... )

hello there! This is really very sweet of you :) I don't publish fanmixes up here, but I was going to make a post for a Doctor Who playlist over at my journal so that I can add to it with time (and others can give me suggestions). I would love to have some general (i.e. no song titles/back cover) fanmix art to post in the entry.

If that sounds okay with you, here's the info:

1. Stardust
2. Doctor/Rose (more specifically, both the Ninth and Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler - I'd like all three in the picture)
3. None
4. songs will contain: fluff, angst, love, friendship (the usual lol); also, maybe not too big an image since it'll be on the same post as song titles? I dunno - I don't really know much about sizing ha!

You will OF COURSE receive credit on this post. Again, if it's okay with you - thank you! If not, it's still an awesome thing you're doing :)

This sounds really fun to make! Wonderful idea, and I love the title.

As for sizing, do you want something square or rectangular? Square works best as an album cover, but it sounds like maybe you want more of a banner to head your playlist? Or maybe I could make you both.

Ooooo!! - sorry, I get easily amused. If you have the time, I wouldn't mind both a banner and an album cover. I still don't know how to use banners for a layout - but a banner for the list might be appropriate.

An album cover would be great if I ever do publish it!

Thanks :)

No Touching Allowed
Pushing Daisies, Ned/Chuck
Nothing specific, something cheeky and cute
The same as above, something sweet and silly

Nearly done, and I have a favor to ask. Would you mind if I posted the finished product on my journal? No one else could steal the graphic, of course, and I'll post a link to your lj with it, if you like. I'd just love to post a little gallery of the finished album art.

Okay, one more request (last one, I swear!) can I post icons made from the album cover art? Here's the sort of thing I'm thinking about: http://boxed.livejournal.com/33041.html#cutid3 (and the cover art is at the top of the post)

Feel free to say "no" to any and ALL of this is you'd like to keep the art all for yourself!

I would definitely request, but the one I'm working on right now is actually a 5-part fanmix, so I have to do 5 separate covers for the individual characters. Awesome idea, though!

5 covers doesn't sound too tricky...especially if it's for characters I already know. : )

Well, if you're interested, I'm doing a Hipster Harry Potter Mixes. I already made some for the trio, but I'm working on some for the Marauders + Lily. Basically, it's music about the characters/music they would listen to if they were hipsters.

If you're interested in the fandom, let me know and I'll give you the other details or you can ask me what else you need to know. =]

that sounds like a TON of fun, and really who doesn't love the maurauders? i'm not really up to photomanips, but if you can think of hipster accessories per each character (i.e. james potter glasses) maybe we could do something fun with those? or maybe you have ideas of your own!

1. Devil In a Cardigan / Rome
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Glory
3. None?
4. Just a generally kick-ass mix for a kick-ass villain. Not too serious, maybe borderline crack, but not quite. If that makes any sense at all.

Wonderful titles--do you want both or are you still deciding? Can I possibly do something with a burning Colosseum? ; )

And "borderline crack" is always good, but it sounds like a bit of a fine so any examples you can offer would be extra-helpful. : )

I'm on the fence over which title I'm going to go with, so you can pick whichever one you think works better. And yeah, the Colosseum idea is great.

Honestly, I just mean nothing too dark and angsty looking. What with the dark/black backgrounds and grungy textures. Which is really all I'm capable of making. So hopefully you'll wanna help me out. :)

Okay! I'm doing the requests in the order I get them, so if you decide on a title before I send you the cover comment and I'll make sure I use that one!

Dark and angsty is AWESOME, but, yeah, I think I'm pretty good with (and enjoy making) cheery, slightly-crack-y things. Dark and angsty is actually harder for me! : )
