time to reflect.

since I make icons, i don't usually/ever post memes in my lj. but  pixiegirl131415 just recently suggested one that's very related. i've only been posting icons for about seven months, but i think my work's improved enough that some reflection could be fun...

Lol, it's funny to look back on where you started, isn't it? I love all the Horrible icons, they are definately my favorite, though Dorthy and the sky comes a close second. And nice use of polaroid texture. :)

thank you! it is funny to look back. i mean, i remember i was so excited when i first found polaroid brushes, but i think that icon is the only one i've made with them i really like, and i'm still not positive why that is.

Poleroids are hard to get to look good, especially in something as small as an icon. They usually take up most of the space allotted. I've used them in banners before, but for everything else, it's just too hard!

I love the partially black and white ones. And Pushing Daisies and Dr Horrible and well, all of your icons I've seen so far... :D

Hi! I tried messaging you back but you have the privacy option enabled which doesn't allow me to, so I decided to come comment here ;)

Yup, I see that the formatting errors were fixed. Before, I think you had an open bold tag and a slightly eroneous LJ tag, but it all looks good now.

As for the length of it, 300 words, I've passed this onto the community maintainer. It states in the rules that drabbles must be 100 words in length but we haven't yet discussed double- and triple-drabbles, and so I've let her know your submission is in the queue. Hopefully she'll pick it up soon!

Many thanks again for the submission!
Kayla ♥

hm (*may have to go look into that*)...

thanks very much for the info! and yeah, it started as 100 words and then multiplied by a factor of three. : P
i hope that's okay.

of course- good luck to the comm!
