You may or may not remember, but a few months back, there were reports circulating (and they were confirmed as true) that Alan Taylor wanted a 2 1/2 hour cut while Marvel wanted a 2 hour cut. That Marvel kicked Taylor out of the editing room, and a mediator was hired to resolve things between the studio and director. I looked up the length on imdb and it said 112 minutes. Reading what you wrote about it being "choppy," "muddled," and "not always clear" it seems Marvel wasn't right to ignore Taylor. It appears too much was cut out, because however sprawling the movie might be, it shouldn't be too hard to follow

damn I did not know this! Actually I tried to avoid as many reviews and interviews as possible before watching the movie so I missed that. Then you're right. The movie would've probably been more satisfactory if they had added atleast another 15 minutes or so.

It's reminding of IM2, where there was no love triangle shown
They did the same in IM3 with Rebecca Hall's character and Pepper Potts becoming good friends ;) So yep I see the trend and it's a good one lol

Tumblr seems to have forgotten Tom's under contract for 6 films, and given his popularity,
LMAO Thor 3 was announced much in advance but I don't know how I managed to forget about that when watching the film. His 'death' shocked me for a second and I literally went 'WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK' lol.

I'm a loyal Marvel girl until the end, so yeah, I plan to. I need to see IM3 first though, and wait for a good Thor 2 rip to come out

I have watched the first Thor movie, and I really didn't like it. Some things you mentioned here in your review also were some things I disliked in that movie :( But I too think that Loki is an interesting character.

Aw okay you're not a fan of the franchise then. It's not for everyone that's for sure but my love for the marvel universe has grown over time which is strange. Blame by obsession with superhero movies ever since 'Batman Begins' ;)

Loki is the strongest and most interesting character! I love watching him :D

The Dark World is an improvement on the first film. It looks a lot better.
