Aw, these are sweet. Hee, Claude has no idea how attractive he is, does he? I'm betting he's Abby's uncle actually, which means he's got something else in common with Peter. Moving on, how cool would it be to watch a sparring match between a person who could create force fields and another who could go invisible? Probably pretty cool, at least once Abby knows what she's doing. And, aw, Lee's so excited. Good thing he wandered off before he pressed Claude's empath button too hard.

No, he really, really doesn't. Silly, silly Claude.

Probably pretty cool, at least once Abby knows what she's doing

And she will eventually; she did a lot more than just put up the forcefield when she was fighting with Elle.

And, aw, Lee's so excited.

*laughs* I've turned Lee into a sort of Bennet-lite. It was totally unintentional, but yeah, I think that's where he is. But he did seem the more accessible of the two, based on the GN (Elle especially seems a little more comfortable with him than with Abby), and he doesn't seem to have powers, so...he's the kind of nerdy one hanging around and being awe-struck by things. It's cute.

Thank you!

That seems like a good choice for him. I think if I were Abby I'd appreciate having someone around who's seeing all this crazy stuff and thinking it's amazing, not freaking out or judging anybody.

It's having that kind of person around that would keep someone like Abby sane, and just the sort of thing Claude probably could've used as a young man. And it's the lack of that kind of person that probably drives a lot of the young people recruited by the Company to join up.

Coming home from work and finding this-- and the preview-- made me extremely happy.

Ha. I like Abigail fancies Claude. I remember what we were discussing when we were talking about this story, but I don't know what you eventually decided on for how Claude is connected to Abigail, so for now I'm going to agree that I think he's her uncle. Her and Claire can start a club. Then get pissed off when the objects of their incestuous affection decide to do each other instead.

Poor Claude, thinking about his empath. I like all the little hints throughout the stories that he is thinking about Peter and random times.

Your Abigail and Lee aren't lame, BTW. ;) But they are still missing the awesome gene. And is it wrong that I really think "The Hard Part" should have been something dirty? Because I mean, come on. The Hard Part.

Sneaking into the bathroom to check my email on my phone during work and finding these messages made me extremely happy ;) Even if I didn't get to respond till now.

Then get pissed off when the objects of their incestuous affection decide to do each other instead.

LOL. I think in the sequel, this will totally happen. They will also bond about being electrocuted by Elle.

Your Abigail and Lee aren't lame, BTW.

I know. I feel bad, getting so fond of them. Abby's a bit of a bitch but she is young and she is learning, so it's a bit more forgivable.

But they are still missing the awesome gene

Well, you know, poor Lee wasn't born into the family of awesome, and Abby...Abby's still got time for it to manifest. Maybe the eclipse will help it along.

Ditto on The Hard Part. There's no way that doesn't read dirty.

Thank you!

*laughs* OMG, I do that with my phone too! I sit at my desk and randomly check my e-mail on my phone all day. But I can't respond because it doesn't format properly so I just wait a few hours until I get home.

LOL. I think in the sequel, this will totally happen. They will also bond about being electrocuted by Elle.

Sequel, you say? ;) And maybe that's why Abby was so bitchy to Elle. She thought Elle was moving in on her crush. *g*

It's better. They're more complete characters. But they still seem so young-- not in the idealistic way that Peter seems young, but more of an immaturity-- that I can picture them acting the way they do in the GN.

I am such a bad employee; I'm not supposed to even have my cellphone on me when I'm on the sales floor, but I sometimes do, especially if I've just posted fic before coming to work.

The hypothetical sequel that will not be written for a while. Until I find out where Villains is leaving off, at least. We kid, but I actually think that might be part of the reason; I don't know if it's because Abby really did have a crush on him (although, who wouldn't?) but she might've seen Elle as a threat in terms of attention.

Heh, exactly. I really did try and make them somewhat sympathetic, because Claude has to have a reason for staying with them. He wouldn't if they were just naturally small-minded and mean.

Well, I read this part first, got completely confused to the point of cross-eyedness, then grew a braincell and read the fic in frelling order. At which point all became clear and lovely and I want to turn this fic into something edible and then eat it, I love it so much. CT as Sarah is brilliant and I can't picture anyone else in that role, which could be in part because of your writing (which is made of awesome), and part because of how CT (who is made of awesome) would deliver the lines.

It's just all perfectly perfect and I want more, darn it! :D Is it tomorrow yet? Is it Monday??

PS: englishmuffin2's Abby & Claire Club Of Incestual Woe made me laugh to the point that it annoyed my sleeping dog on my lap. And I still kept laughing after she glared at me and left.

Hah, yeah, perhaps one day I will get around to linking everything in a proper order. One day. I'm glad you're enjoying it, and so glad you can hear CT as Sarah. I'll admit that the whole endeavor really was a way of me working out my desire to see CT and CE act together. Nine/Donn, Claude/Sarah, completely separate role/completely separate role...they would be amazing together.

Hee, well, it is tomorrow now ;) But the next part won't be up until later, so I suppose that doesn't count.

PS: Yeah, the Abby & Claire Club of Incestual Woe would be hilarious. Poor girls. The objects of their affection are just so wonderful but so...related to them.

Thank you!

I would definitely pick Claude over Lee. Unless I could have both? Can I have both?

Oh, poor Claude and his empath problem.

Well, except for the fact that they're both too in love with other people...sure, you could have both ;)

They just break his heart, those empaths.

“Empaths!” Did you know any?”

“A….a couple,”

Oooh. *hugs and squeezes Claude* Pobrecito. And of course he thinks Peter is dead, doesn't he? It's so sad.

I know it took me forever to keep reading this, but I'm really liking it.

At this point he does, yes. Because I think it was pretty much assumed that he was, when he was in Primatech hanging out with Adam.

Aww, it's okay! I'm honestly just happy that you're reading any of it at all. And enjoying it.
