I considered doing this when I first saw it, but then I noticed that I've only done four of them and three of those are unfinished. Maybe if there were a meme for smut cliches...
Inside or outside? I take it it's outside, cause inside there's no joke. The thing is huge. I'm inclined towards Claude topping just cause I like to subvert that whole older/younger thing, although I do prefer to write various fics so both can take turns.
Well, yes, outside. I guess. Heh, I never even considered the older/younger thing, and it's so hard to think of Claude as the younger of any relationship (although he is younger than Bennet); plus he looks older than Nine.
I spent a while in yaoi fandom where they have these rigid conventions including that one, so getting back to good old slash was refreshing. Though they are the same thing, save for those conventions.
I think that's the beard. But I have that Nine being exactly 900 years old thing stuck in my head.
I honestly just go by height, most of the time; otherwise picturing it gets a lot more awkward, especially when the height difference is as significant as with Plaude. But I feel that's one of those things that's very much showing my hetero-ness, because girls are usually the shorter of a straight couple.
True, true. I think Nine has those moments of being a big ol' kid too, in between the Lonely God moments, which I find extra adorable and tend to gravitate towards.
Yup, height's another one. A lot of conventions in yaoi actually follow traditional male/female lines, which get very blatant very often. I'm really not into those, though, so I argue that even when I wrote in manga/anime fandoms, I never wrote yaoi. I had the guys changing from top to bottom all the time, the feminine, shorter guy as top, basically just going with what I felt like.
He's so adorably goofy. Damn, now I want to write this. Oh, look, research.
Yes, I've heard of the yaoi stuff, and would find it...constricting, to say the least. But who am to talk? I think I've written a total of two top!Peter fics in my whole life.
He is at that ;) I think Claude has his moments of that too, actually, which is one of those things I like about CE: even when he's playing a very angsty character, he's not all doom-and-gloom about it.
I find it extremely constricting and cliched. It's all the same formula. Looking through my Plaude fics, I'm shocked to discover how few smut I have. Although the one where they have have sex sex verus just handjobs/blowjobs is with Pete topping.
That goofy grin when he's laughing at Peter for getting caught with the lady's bag gets me every time.
Something I've always liked about Plaude is that there isn't quite so much of a penetration focus. I mean, I've written it, and it can be hot, but it's not the only thing. I like reading the handjobs/blowjobs; I like that most people realize penetrative isn't the only thing you can write about.
Oh my god, so cute! I love it when he laughs, always. Just seeing Claude be happy. The guy deserves it, you know?
There is a lot of creativity, which is always good. And I do try to stay away from the cliches as much as I can, which sounds odd considering the list I'm making. Or just a write a cliche once.
I got this really sappy idea for a birthday fic where Claude just wants Peter to be happy and of course Peter wants Claude to be happy and it's fluffy and gooey and covered in sugar.
Well, there is that "everything's been written before" and "no original ideas" thing, which is true, but one must strive for originality, anyway.
We do. These two are much too tragic. Mm, maybe I'll write it down this week after dealing some more with the Plaude epic. I have so many bunnies lately.

Aww, I think that would be lovely! We need more fluffy and gooey and covered in sugar. So much more.

Can't wait, either way ;)

Oh God, I have to stop promising people stuff. I still have that "Empty Room" epilogue, too.

Hah, I totally didn't mean it like that. Whatever you write would be awesome to read ;) So no pressure.
