Hey, sorry about the no friend's commenting thing on my journal had a few bad experiences in the past. Didn't know the photo was yours, just got the entire image from a friend so I put it up because it was funny and he was in it. Changed it now.
I was wondering what is the litigation involved with taking pictures at social events, when there was not express permission for a image to be taken of them?
One of those things that always bothered me, as I will be a teacher next year and if someone takes a photo of me at an event such as Golgotha then puts it online; I cannot control access to my personal life?
Only problem I did have was it being used without permission, it's a grey area yeah, and hard on either side to maintain - either your work being used or you unknowingly end up in a crowd shot somewhere without your express permission. However, if I see my photos being used for something without my permission I contact them about it, if someone in a crowd shot I took found it and wasn't happy, i'd take it down
