Again, I have a question for the lot of you.

I just got back from taking in some live blues from local artists at the Famous Dave's down the block. Now, I love music. Everyone and their dog knows this. Still, even though I love music and will go to extreme lengths to discover good music, I am - and always have been - horrible at keeping up with ( Read more... )

Radio stations do make it really hard. I think it's really sad that they don't reflect the area they serve.

Where do you go? What venues?

I know in Madison we did the whole... jumping from garage punk concert to basement punk concert to jazz being played at the union.

What kind of a musical career are you thinking about?

Nope
I'm too busy, and it doesn't seem like there's as much of a local music scene as where I'm originally from in Atlanta. Now, back home I did, because I had friends who were a part of the scene.

Do you keep up with your local music scene? Not really

If yes, how? If no, why not? Yes in the sense that I'm always going to events. Usually DJs. Usually drum n bass because... Well EVERYONE here, including every single one of my crew, listent to it. Most of them are drum n bass DJs. So I'm out there dancing along to a lot of it. But I'm not interested enough to really follow who's who in terms of DJs and shit. No one I hang out with is really interested in hiphop so I'm not even slightly involved in that scene. I'm also not really listening to music much at all anymore anyway.

Do you keep up with your local music scene? No.
If yes, how? If no, why not? I wish I did, to be honest. I love music; I love concerts; I love finding NEW music and concerts. It's just really difficult when you don't have a license. You can't really just show up anywhere...you have to plan. As soon as I get my license I'm planning on taking myself out every weekend to random local clubs and listening to random local bands. I'm excited for it ( ... )
