The woman who had this desk before me left a ton of stuff in the drawers, so I’ve been excavating for treasure. I have napkins, hand sanitizer, pencils, pens, staples, paper clips, scissors, two rulers, more paper clips, rubber bands, a letter opener, straws, some plastic utensils that I won’t use since they’ve been lying out without any wrapping, ( Read more... )

My cubicle has walls low enough to look over.

Bummer.

Lucky you, you found treasure in your drawers! *grins*

Me, I liked cubicles, too. Much better than laying out in plain site all the time. Not that I like being in a secretarial pool, but cubicles offer that tiny bit of privacy and it makes a *huge* difference. Cocoon is a really nice word, but few can appreciate it if they've haven't been through it.

Definitely! I had to do the open space thing and it sucked. I also prefer not to sit with my back exposed to the world. Paranoid, me.

Oh, I'm very pleased that you've got your little acre at last. Every step like this validates your decision to get away from those pimplemeisters at WPC. They were doing nothing but fucking you over! I know this current place may not be the career for your life, but they do seem to be trying to actually use and benefit from your intelligence, rather than hacing you around as a psychological chewtoy for a bunch of nutters ( ... )

Yeah, my current workplace is hectic and not really in my profession but healthier for my soul.

Cool you on getting the workspace you deserve!

"Labyrinth" was all about seduction, baby. Whereas the recent "So Burn The Untamed Lands" gives us shirtless Harper but only because he has a raging infection marring most of lily white skin....

It's like a gift. That they're useful and utilitarian doesn't make them any less free. *g*
