The damage reversed?

Cautiously optimistic. My car CD player worked today. I played selections from four different CDs on it. Had several stops on the (short) trip and it worked again after each startup. The sound quality isn't 100% what it was but given that it wasn't playing music at all Sunday night.... Let's see if music continues tomorrow.

Fingers crossed the CD player keeps working. I love listening to "road" music.
