Writing Is Hard

I'm doing some writing now and then! It's just that none of it is linear and I keep lacking necessary connective chunks. (Also, when I write like this I'm not always sure I'm typing down and arranging my chunks in the correct order.) In the case of my WK WIP, it's not helping that I have all this information in my head that I'm not always sure I'm ( Read more... )

Sorry writing is so hard right now. Maybe see about a writing group or a forum/comm/discord for that fandom?

I did that quiz and got the crew of Scheherazade in The Stars Now Unclaimed, which is a book I hadn't heard of lol But it sounds interesting, and the description felt fairly accurate:

You're just the kind of snarky, resourceful, and stubborn crew member that Scheherazade, a sassy spaceship with artificial intelligence would welcome on board. You've got a heart of gold underneath all that snark, but it's best to keep your wits about you. After all, you'll need to punch space nazis and survive a lot of space battles if you join this crew of misfits.

I'm tempted to play it randomly to see what the others are...

I've never done anything on Discord and I'm not sure how it works.

I think this test is part of a promotional effort for The Stars Now Unclaimed, which came out recently. It sounds interesting so I requested it from my local library system, and I wouldn't mind being a part of that crew based on the summary supplied there.

The front page for the test has six properties on it--The Stars Now Unclaimed, John Scalzi's Interdependency series, Becky Chambers' The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, Firefly, Star Wars (a New Hope), and Cowboy Bebop--and I don't know if it's possible to get any others as a result or if it's just the six. There are so many other possible sci-fi crews out there!
