Dulled

I'm quite disappointed: a Féria shade that last time gave me a long-lasting, very shiny, and rather unnatural but pretty red (not primary red, just not a shade most people could naturally achieve) this time has given me a dull reddish brown. It's not as bad as the time I tried a new Féria red shade that turned my hair purple-black and into straw Read more... )

Oh, I know eyactly what you mean. I am no longer colour my hair myself, I have the hairdresser do it. I can't really afford it, but I had some really scary outcomes myself.

Saturday's forecast sounds scary!

I really can't afford it, plus I can't put my doctored neck and skull on the hard rim of the sinks salons use to wash hair.

I understand. Neither can I, I haven't been for 6 months now.
Yes, I can imagine you having trouble with the sink. I should have thought of it. Sorry.

No problem! It's not up to other people to remember the work done on me nearly ten years ago.

Feria is the worst, extreme straw head result for me, had to walk around house for 2 days with olive oil all over my head.

The ammonia free box dye hair brands like Natural Instincts worked best, but...hair dresser dye jobs were so much better.
It's the professional dye they use.

Try purchasing professional developer and professional hair dye from Sally's Beauty salon. If there's one in your area, the girl at the counter will help.

Féria has redder reds but it does leave my hair drier and more straw-like. I have allergy issues--like with Clairol--so I usually end up sticking with product lines I already know won't mess up my scalp.

I loved how my hair looked after getting a professional on it, but I don't have the money and can no longer handle the edge of their sinks against my neck and skull.

Thank you.

With Weiss Kreuz the fic is better than the show. (Some of the manga is pretty, but the continuity varies.) It's really amazing the high quality work that came out of WK.... Death Note the anime was great and skipped over a lot of unnecessary manga chapters that were basically just the writer spinning his wheels.

From what I've read, the structure of the language can be difficult, partly because there are more polite and formal constructions of it. Plus, the politeness/rank/whatever stuff. I can pick some words out of sentences as they're spoken, some of them words people wouldn't expect. *g* Subtitling is great, and I'm unhappy that my new (year-old) TV doesn't allow closed-captioning when it's in HDMI mode, which is its TV mode, because left to myself I have subtitling on everything. Dubbing vs. subbing can make quite a difference, in voice and script. (And in some cases some of the English voice actors have great voices. One in particular, I'd listen to him read the phone book.)
