Never Wanted or Needed This Anyway

Yeah, I noticed when LJ started working on my scrapbook because the only things I have in there are my custom userheads, which completely stopped working. I had to delete them, reupload them, and change my CSS codes to match the new userhead locations. How very convenient.

I was dubious about their claim that all the images would be linked properly from their old URLs to the new. There's no way I can go back to all those old photo posts to check and fix things; I'm busy enough figuring out what folders my photos are now in and moving them.

Have you been able to find tags on the photos? LJ claimed that the consumer outcry meant they'd retain the tags, but I sure don't see them.

From an LJ Support e-mail that arrived 7/16:

The tag data is still there, but hidden at the moment as there is not currently a way to display it. Our engineering team will be adding the ability to use tags, due to overwhelming demand for this feature. Support does not have any information on when this will be introduced, but when it does it will also be announced in lj_releases.

I'm afraid to look at all my pre-reboot photo posts to see if the photos are still there. It's not like I could fix all of them if they're not.

I checked my last post with images, and everything seems okay.

(Stop logging me out, LJ.)

Yay, one thing works! *g* My most recent posts have used photos uploaded to the new Scrapbook so I'd have to check an older entry for my stuff.

::hugs::
