I've posted a meaty but never to be fully completed Andromeda fic called "After Life" at my own site and at Archive of Our Own. It'll unfortunately be unfinished for life since season four and especially five poisoned me against the show so hard and I can't bear the intense canon review that would be necessary to write this fic as I'd usually

S4 killed my love too. I never watched S5, and when the new AU archive got hacked, I just didn't have the will to save it. I'm still weeping for the lost potential.

I had a bunny the other day, but cringed when I realized that writing it would mean watching at least some of a fourth-season episode. The show had so much going for it, and now seeing even the early episodes is painful because of knowing how it all ends up despite the reasonably-solid foundation laid and the multifaceted and honestly LIKABLE characters. To see the dead links is even sadder with any consideration of how so many people took that base and those cracks and worked with it.

I'm the same way. My enjoyment of watching the earlier seasons is somewhat tainted by knowing how badly it'll turn out and how so many of these characters will be screwed over by the writers later. Writing "After Life" as I originally intended it would require a thorough rewatch of most of season two, with each episode plot rewritten to reflect what happened to Harper in the fic, and that is a lot of work, especially having the shadow of later seasons hovering maliciously in the background of my brain.
