A Society That Fears and Hates Us

Unlike the anime Wolverine and Iron Man playing on G4, I thought the first X-Men anime episode is pretty good, even if that's not a Storm I recognize. And no tall bishie Wolverine like in the Wolverine anime! I refuse to accept the existence of tall bishie Wolverine ( Read more... )

Ha! I know, right?

I mean, she's pretty and all, but the personality couldn't be more wrong.

It also disturbs me that I find Scott hot in the anime.

Scott is disturbingly hot in the anime. He's still too emo for me though.

you have to get finger printed to get food stamps in NY?

o.0

well doesn't THAT send a nice message.

Hope NY does better by you than IN does by me. 14 a month doesn't go very far :(

I got fingerprinted when I applied for benefits three years ago and they demanded I get fingerprinted again, though this time they used computers to get the print impression instead of actual ink. But, yeah, I felt like a criminal then and now.

I got $100 a month in 2008, which isn't much with New York prices. I'll see what I get this time if they give it to me.

yea, 100 doesn't go far here either, I went into complete panic attack mode this month before checking out because I had to stock up on meats and such AND buy paper products and cleaning supplies and gah...I do not want to talk about my grocery bill this month. I had to put some of it on my card, and I am NOT HAPPY.

that whole fingerprinting thing, thats fucked up. It must be fairly new or they only do it in NYC because they didn't do it when I was in upstate NY, I would have remembered that.

Again, good luck! I guess we should just be glad we get ANYTHING, at least my fourteen bucks buys um....bread and eggs? for the month. Yeah, it basically covers bread and eggs.

I wouldn't be able to survive without my credit cards. Prior to my surgery I never carried a debt on any of them, but now I have a little over $2,000 each on three cards, especially since I had to get a new transmission for my car in June. It makes me sick but I have to live so....

Thanks.
