Flattened

I applied for and got a reduced-fare MetroCard for the disabled today, and the ID photo they took of me makes my face look five times wider and flat as a pancake aside from the jowly-ness. Even the skin texture looks weird. This may be the ugliest ID photo ever taken of me, so I'm never using this card to prove my identity for anythingI'm amazed ( Read more... )

Definitely yay. I passed the time waiting talking to friendly senior citizens waiting for their reduced fare Metrocards. *g*

when I was in NY my picture so did not like me that a couple of times places where I had to show it would call the cops because they thought I' was using a stolen identity or something. GOD what a nightmare that was.

If anyone demands I use my reduced-fare card as ID I'll have my driver's license handy to corroborate. My driver's license photo isn't great but it at least resembles me.

LOL! My work ID is the same - I swear they took the photo in portrait mode and printed it in landscape mode. Yay you on the cheaper fares!

Someone told my roommates it was possible to get a reduced fare for disability. Nobody in the last four years thought to mention it to me.

Yeah, but you can see how I can't help thinking of all the money I could have saved, especially during those times when I had PT in the city twice a week. I'm glad to have it now! I'll just try to avoid looking at the photo.
