Fighting For

I have some good news on the Medicaid-Medicare issue. Medicare still considers me dual eligibility so (so far) my prescription plan change went off without a hitch. I phoned in the change Thursday to be safest. It'll take 10 days (January 1 on) for the new prescription card to arrive so I put in early refills for the meds I could get away with. It's good to hear that some of your dragons have been slain. Good luck with the rest of them.

Thanks. I'm hoping this isn't the calm before a storm.

I'm glad things look more promising. And that you're less snowed in! WTF, Bloomberg?

I'm hopeful things will work out the way they should. Talking to NY Medicaid is a bit like entering a music competition where you arrive with a flute while Medicaid brings a gun, shoots you in the leg, and declares itself the winner.

The outer boroughs are always an afterthought in NYC snow plowing, but even by those standards this was ridiculous. I've been hearing a ton of hatred directed at Bloomberg this week, and the smug little bastard so richly deserves it.

I believe this is an essential quality of all Medicaid systems, alas.

I'd heard people were complaining, but then actually took the time to read what they were complaining about and...yeah. He totally does.

Now we have to live with mountains of garbage (from a week without garbage pickup) until the Department of Sanitation gets to it, and last weekend was fairly warm.... The head of the DotS believes his workers have been doing an A+ job though!

I was so happy to see the first sentence begin with "some good news!" Even if things aren't quite smooth yet, I'm so glad that some things are still working and that things actually seem to be moving forward on getting better. I hope it keeps up!

Today I received as much money in my Social Security payment as I'm supposed to under the Medicare Savings Program, so that's hopeful. Wednesday I have to somehow find a way to see if my Medicaid is turned back on again....
