Future Developments

Callum Keith Rennie was a lot of fun in the season opener of Californication. I don't know if I can stay with a series where the point is that the main character is a dick who constantly screws up, but I'll at least follow during Rennie's run. I like the daughter too.

While Dexter's opener suggests some interesting future plots, I wasn't happy ( Read more... )

Much as I love Duchovny and his copious CALIFORNICATION nudity, the character is not appealing in the least. Maybe if he and Callum did some Californicating.... *g*

Love DEXTER. At last, a Forensics series that gets the facts right! Michael C. Hall is also serilously hot in it. I reckon it's the tan, and the psychosis *g*

I hate his character.

The psychosis does work for Dexter!

partly from the oodles of Rita and family stuff.

Oh, man. *whines* That's the one thing the (first) book did better than the show... minimized Rita.

I tried Californication when it first aired. I liked the first ep well enough, but then I found myself shutting off the second in the middle. Haven't been back.

There was a lot of it, and a new plot development suggests there will be a lot more.

If not for Rennie, I wouldn't be going back. For me, the amount of satisfaction in seeing Duchovny's character being punished for being an ass isn't enough to make up for having to watch him being an ass.

I don't get HBO. What's Callum's character like?

He plays a music producer who ends up asking Hank to write his biography because he wants someone "edgy." Kind of a combination of Ray and Billy Tallent. He's fun to watch.
