I missed the first 27 minutes of Smallville. What happened in it? The rest was so cool!

Starts with Guy with Gun menacing Lana and Lex and shooting Lex in the forehead. Lex gets spirited away somehow and is medivac'ed to Metropolis, because there totally aren't any hospitals in Detroit. Chloe offers to do her magic healing no jutsu, but Clark won't let her. Instead he volunteers for an experimental interrogation technique Papa Luthor developed because he thinks his supergenes will make him capable of withstanding it.

He gets in Lex's head, which looks an awful lot like the hallway Bobby got stuck in in last week's Supernatural and meets young!cute "Alexander," who is the 'good side' of Lex. Bad!Lex appears and starts kicking asses, and Alexander hides Clark in a room 'he never comes in,' where Papa Luthor beats the crap out of both Lex and Lex's mom, who is also nasty to tiny Alexander when he tries to comfort her. IT WAS HORRIBLE but a great damn scene.

Most of the first half dragged, though, you honestly didn't miss a lot!

Of course there are no hospitals in Detroit! It's Detroit. And Daddy Luthor was more interested in interrogating Lex than healing him anyway.

I too thought the timing of Supernatural/Smallville eps about traveling into other people's minds was... interesting.

Thanks! I came in just as mean mommy told Alexander he'd said enough and left the room as he begged her to stay.

I'm pretty sure they were supposed to air together, too, because SPN had that Christmas episode they had when Smallville had a repeat.

Papa Luthor accused Lex of getting into his briefcase and under duress he confessed that Mom had done it. And then Mom and Papa Luthor fought and she got hit.

Oh, so Lex was supposed to take the beating for her. Sorry for screwing you up, Mom!
