Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

I'm actually working on a more extensive essay on differences in boybands between areas (J&A, Kpop, Cpop, and Western, because oh god, I have so many opinions)--trying to articulate a bunch of my thoughts that I've put on hold for a few years. It's a fun write. And I get to talk about the Beatles! Always fun.

Hahaha, hopefully I finish it before my vacation ends (in only 2 days, lol). It's becoming quite long, and I keep finding more things to talk about. Hopefully it turns out alright though!

Pre-Akanishi-Leaving is an interesting time to observe; I pulled up some old videos when writing this piece and was actually surprised at how obvious the marketing was--a lot of Kamenashi and Akanishi promotion, to the point that the other four really did come off as background singers.

And Kame. Oh, Kame. I understand, intellectually, why they put him as the frontman of KAT-TUN, but I can't help but wish, sometimes, that he wasn't. Like every time he tries to hit a high note. He's got lovely hair though--if I turn off my ears and just admire his hair, all is good. xD

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the analysis. I couldn't find my stopwatch when I was writing this, so I literally had to pause videos and count on my fingers, so all the numbers are very rough--I tried to be generous with some estimates, but there's error, of course. Glad you liked it though!

Actually Junno isn't the first to Johnnys to do choreography ,this is a niche that Yara already has because he choreographs for juniors and some debuted groups, but I agree that his marketing has gotten better and KAT-TUN teased him in a magazine interview that they expect him to bring the group to new heights this year.

kame does a lot of the chero during live concert if you didn't know that.... (just wanted to point that out) but yes Yara does a lot of chero's as well for the juniors but still some of this ramble I don't agree on....

If by Kame does a lot of the chero during live concert you mean Kame does a lot of the choreography for his solo performances in concerts, then I wouldn't so much consider that dancing as being slutty lulz. As much as I love Kame (quite a bit), his lives in concerts are more dramatic and acting-based as opposed to a dance or musical performance.

not only solo performances as for the group as well. Haha well his perfromances are just epic! well i love everyone in KAT-TUN equally and have hard time basing the other members, I love everyone even if i have to say Kame is my bias xD

I was surprised too when I saw their performance in MSte2012~ Like my eyes lied to me when I supposed to look at Kame, or Koki or Yuichi or Ueda, JunnO popped in front of my eyes. Something must be wrong here, that was i thought~ XD

When I 1st into the fandom (KAT-TUN), I hated Jin so much.I noticed about the promoting Kame & Jin more bcoz my ichiban don't get enough frame shot. but i agree with all about your analysis. Thank you so much for making this~

I approved this~ ^^

Correct me if I'm wrong, I heard this rumor long time ago. I heard that JunnO was once make a choreography for V6, when he was still a jrs. I don't remember which song of V6. Though I want to believe~

Thanks, glad you liked it :)

The reason I wrote this really was because the marketing seemed too overt in fumetsu no scrum. I've since watched a few other performances of it, and it's always the same cinematography--quite disturbing, imo.

TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if Taguchi was involved in choreography before this song; he's a good dancer, expresses himself well, etc. I would be hesitant to say he was the sole choreographer on a V6 song (that seems too much like a rumor) simply because he would have been quite a bit younger, and I'm not sure how trusted he would have been as a junior. But I wouldn't be surprised if he was involved in choreography and simply has never been marketed with it because of how the producer was marketing KAT-TUN.
