Thank you for reading ^^

Mm, well, the 'verse is more meta than actual fic. But since only Jaejoong's said anything about pitch issues, I just play in AU.

* shrugs * When you're tonedeaf though, you're desperate.

I love this, especially noting how Jaejoong was actually tone deaf and then learnt his pitch (although I think it happened way before he entered SME, but that's creative license for you ;D)

Also love the way Junsu's portrayed, with none of the usual fluff. This was an entertaining read. Thank you! :D

I really do think that there's so much potential for looking into the little bits and pieces that people say, and er, yeah, he did say that it was before, but :/ Er, yeah. Creative silence! I did say this was AU. >.>

Well, it's not so much a romance. Jaejoong ends up a little odd in this 'verse because well, when you juxtapose perfect pitch with tone deafness, you get such a startling contrast. :/

No, it's not romance. I don't think I labeled it as such. It's a rather disturbing thought, Jaejoong's, but from my conversations with people who are tonedeaf in the sense that they can't reproduce pitches and they have a bad sense of relative pitch--I have several friends who are like that--it's a common desperation that all of them share, the desire to have what people with perfect pitch has.

Junsu has perfect pitch in this 'verse. It's hard to explain having perfect pitch, from who I've talked to, but the concept is that he hears more than he sees, and he hears pitches as opposed to sounds. Jaejoong on the other hand, is tone deaf (he's said so somewhere, I can't remember where right now), and in this 'verse, still is tone deaf to a certain extreme, and so therefore there's the urge to have what Junsu has, the ability to hear.

I'm glad you liked it. It's a very meta-ish piece.

Eh, well, Diminuendo and Anodyne were more canon-what-if fics in my mind. I'm excessively fond of WES 'verse myself, though Perfect Pitch 'verse is far more fun, especially since I get to toss around musical terminology.

I'm glad you like Anodyne; it was a good fic. :)

I'm glad you liked. ^^

absolutely gorgeous fic, the way you wrote out Jae's longing and Junsu's somewhat detachment. Gad, beautiful.

I like juxtaposition of perfect pitch and tone-deafness. I think it's a fascinating idea, even if all my perfect pitch information comes from second-hand sources. :/

Thank you. ^^

Eh, yeah; a little old, but I fixed it up a little and decided to post.
Thank you. ^^ It'll kill me, but it'll be fun. :)

Jaejoong is very desperate; from everybody I asked, people who are almost tone-deaf (or have very bad relative pitch, as I believe Jaejoong was trying to express) are desperate to have perfect pitch because it's been seen as the ideal... and if you take a desperate longing one step further, you get... disturbingness.

* nods * I wanted to convey Junsu differently from our basic definition of normal people, and since it's narrated though Jaejoong's point of view, I decided to make Junsu... special. Kinda. * shrugs *

Mm; I'm glad you thought so; I always worry. I bothered one of my very close friends who plays double bass, which requires a very good sense of pitch, but is also pretty much tone-deaf, and she helped to shape this Jaejoong, who has so muhc envy simply because he knows that Junsu has perfect pitch. =/ So I'm glad the POV made a difference. :)
