I understand the dislike for HS-AU fics, though I do write them because it sets a very understandable framework for the story. I'm glad you liked this though.

I'm glad you feel for Changmin! Changmin's very practical, so I did hope that the practicality and the knowledge that I tried to tie into his narration wouldn't make him hard to understand... if that makes sense. So I'm really glad you feel for him. Though at the same time, Changmin's calculations are off not because he wants much, which is one part of the equation, but rather because he lives in a different culture.

changmin is psycho, but that sort of one-minded intensity is rather attractive. i wonder how he could love (yunho) with passion when he had so coldly and systematically plotted jaejoong's death.

Well, in the long complicated reasoning, it's because Changmin lives by different definitions than most of us; he doesn't regard Jaejoong as a person so much as a blemish on Yunho's perfection, though that's just my opinion.
