The British chick I work with (who's very into graphic novels and the like) was nearly shocked that SLPL had bought it and that it had a long request list. Apparently the libraries she worked at overseas would have excluded it from the collection. I'm guessing she hasn't paid a lot of attention to the Zane and erotic romance books that we can't keep on the shelf. Sex is popular here in the American libraries.

Hrm. I don't know. There is no official graphic novel section according to cataloging. Some branches put the GNs in a separate section for patron browsing ease. We don't at this branch, though I'm encouraging them to do so (there just isn't any space for them at the moment). I'm not sure how Central, the branch that owns Lost Girls, does it

How was the Nick & Nora book?

It was pretty decent for a teen romance. It was, however, a teen romance first and foremost. The music was merely the common ground for the relationship. That said, I rated it four out of five stars.
