So I'm making a semicircular, top-down shawl. (For reference, it's the Guinevere from Wrap Style, if you're familiar.) It's on 6s. Just over halfway through, it has me stop and put the stitches on scrap yarn. Then I work a ruffle bottom up on 9s and attach it with a three-needle BO. I never got around to getting that book, but I can't see any reason at all, except for a possible fear that the ruffle-bottom BO would be too tight. But you run into the same issue with the 3-ndl BO.

Yeah, I'm vaguely concerned but I think I'll just use a huge needle to BO. The pattern had you do that for the 3-ndl version as well. Yay for single piece construction!
