Wow. I think this is her: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=13091127

Otis is in Lincoln County Oregon (apparently).

Yup. Cousin Opal was clearly keen on a fancy capital for her name. It is a very weird O though. It's the one in Otis that made me twig and then I did some googling; I'd heard of towns called Otis and when I realised there was one in Oregon, I knew we had our O.

I don't know why I knew the name Oviatt because it is very unusual but I knew that had to be a v not a u and therefore it had to be a vowel. And Floy Oviatt is not at all a common sort of name.

Whoops, I meant to include where I got them and completely forgot!
I picked these up at the state fair earlier this summer. No relation to my family.

Couldn't it be From YPals.. meaning Your Pals, since Americans like so much abbreviating.

Lovely photos! Thanks for posting them! Interesting to read about the deciphering too. My first thought was "Opal" as well.

The last one looks kind of like a Victorian death photo. If you aren't familiar with them, Google it. Beautiful but creepy.
