I mentioned to someone else that it was kind of hard for me to leave Scott in the closet...in Afghanistan, no less. I may have to give him a better ending sometime in the future. I'm not usually interested in writing sequels, but if it continues to bother me...

My defense of him is that he's young and a little bit naive...I don't think it occurred to him that Scott might want to maintain the status quo once it was no longer legally necessary for him to do so.
