Yoohoo boys,

Attended a 5-hour Film Literacy workshop this morning,
presented by Prof Tan Bee Thiam (kinda cute looking lecturer), from NTU I think.

Anyway this was organised by the Asian Film Archive.
Pretty insightful stuff in my humble opinion.
Picked up several teaching tips,
which I have to share with my dept next term.

Heyyyyy i'm a big fan of Yasmin's works! I'll highly recommend you go catch some of the movies she has directed (if you havent already done so) cos they're definitely the genre you're into. Very thought provoking.

Did you manage to get her autograph or something?

ooh i like the ad.

and i really liked departures. i would have preferred to be in a place that i could cry out though (without being too self-conscious) haha.

isn't it interesting how once you think about cumulus-nimbus versus cirrus, then u can't really think about how pretty clouds are? but it's still possible to enjoy the clouds when u're not thinking about what type they are.. i hope.

but yea, not going to take the risk by having anything to do with film studies.. haha
