Hardcore PC gamers are weird people.

They spend thousands of dollars on building and constantly upgrading their PC's, but for what end? So they can get a few more frames per second while running Max Payne 2To me, it's just not worth keeping up with the computer curve. I don't get that shit either. It's even worse when the guy you're dating is all into that stuff. Because he then ends up spending all of his money on his damn computer and you're stuck watching him work on the damn thing, rather than going out on dates and having him treat you to dinner and a movie.

I can understand being passionate about something, but only if it's worthwhile. Being a PC performance freak is pointless unless you're some ubernerd gamer. If some guy I knew spent more time and attention on his computer than his girlfriend, I'd kick his ass.

i just have my fiances daddy spend all his money on my computer cause im good like that! werd werd. oh, and i now have 1024 ram and am going to be running 3.2ghz of solid processor. i aint no dork, but i jump on the chance to get shit from him so that i wont have to worry about buying shit myself when he realizes how much i loathe him....HEHHEHEHEHEHEEEE

I'm rockin my AMD Athlon T-Bird 1GHz, 512MB PC2100 and a Radeon 8500 All in Wonder and PROUD OF IT! FUCK PENTIUM 4's and ATHLON XP's! Stooopid elitists.

If you need a new one though, there's no point in getting anything less than an XP 2500+.. you can build a badass machine now for like $500 (or build a crappy new one for around $350)..

What I don't get is when people spend $400 - $1,200 on an lcd monitor. How could anyone allocate $1,200 for a computer monitor!?
