I wonder how the keyboard compares to the last PowerBook rev.. probably my favorite Apple keyboard of all, to be honest. Not that I've had limitless experience with such, of course - my first Mac was a PB5300c. The keyboard seemed fine at the time, but didn't seem to age well at all, becoming oddly stiff four years hence. Then came a Wallstreet (actually a PDQ, the WS Mk.II), which had another very good keyboard. Then a Rev.A TiBook - never quite fell for that keyboard. The feel was maybe a little light, too little travel. And then a hand-me-down original iBook, with quite a nice feel, though the lettering's only printed on, compared to the underlit keyboards. (Another reason to love them :)

Boots.. the Chemist? O.o;

Meanwhile, as soon as I get back to the Bay, first on the culinary list will be: (a) lots of nummy sushi, (b) a Niman Ranch burger at the Magnolia Cafe, (c) Chicago style stuffed pizza at Zachary's. On different days. ^_^

Your old supervisor is now teaching at my Wednesday school! He seems really cool.

If it makes you feel any better about your new supervisor, I have to teach with Asshole-sensei this year. He's in charge of my schedule and completely clueless. A few other teachers and I spent half an hour mocking him today. I felt better.

Uchino-sensei is a really good guy. I never taught English with him but I did take part in a couple of Practical Science classes with him.

It's a shame that Asshole-sensei didn't get moved on.

He seems nice. We were having a good conversation, and then I asked what school he had been, and when he told me I asked if he knew you, and he said he was your supervisor. So we had a "small world!" moment. I won't be teaching with him, either.

It's a shame that Asshole-sensei didn't get moved on.

Amen. This afternoon I asked him when I would be teaching next week (since it'd be nice to know in advance), and during his five minute answer (summary: I don't know) I wanted to punch him in the face. This will be testing my patience indeed.

I hope you had fun at home and all, but come back to Japan already, I miss you!
