Things are possibly looking up
Everything I need to do for Christmas is done.
My next driving lesson is on Friday at 10:00am.
I got a reply by email about the job I applied for. The recruiter had not previously replied because she was on holiday and today is her first day back in the office. I am being considered and if my CV is good enough then they will arrange an onsite -

I like macports.org. ffmpeg downloaded and compiled nicely, and I think that all of the libraries that I'll need came down with it too. Now I need to play with it to see if I can get some nice mpeg2 to h.264 on the command line ( Read more... ) -

I have had an email saying that my application has been forwarded to the recruiter.
A few hours later the job has been delisted from the website.
Does this mean that they have enough applicants now and they will begin contacting and interviewing applicants or does it mean that the position has been filled?
P.S. I hate the Upper Lewes Road. -

Well, the job search is not going amazingly well but at least I am applying for things now, and that is making me feel a little better on the matter. I did apply for the TfL graduate scheme, but they didn't want me. The application form required a lot of thought and the whole process is quite lengthy so I guess that they really do get a lot of ( Read more... ) -
Aside
I don't think that I am going to be upgrading to Leopard unless an application that I want to use really needs it and so it brings me glee that 10.4.11 is out for download. Why is that nice? It means that Tiger users get Safari 3 and that means that you can use the new Yahoo! Mail in Safari! -

So Thursday was driving lesson number three. The main part of the lesson was starting manoeuvres. My instructor is a very good guy at throwing in at you deep end (and personally I am finding that it is a technique that is working as you don't have any time to worry about doing things).
