I've been experimenting with cooking lately, and even though it's tooting my own horn, it's been amazing!

I made a soup tonight that tastes very very similar to zuppa toscana soup. ( Read more... )

Even though I don't like referencing wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kale.

I kind of see it as a cross between lettuce and cabbage. It tastes more like a lettuce to me, but it withstands cooking like cabbage.

I could eat zuppa toscana every single day of my life and just the other day I was thinking that I had to experiment and try it on my own...so I'm going to try your recipe when I get back to SLC and see how I fare it! YUM!!! Thanks for sharing! :)

I LOVE cooking, and often think of going to culinary school. It's just so relaxing, isn't it!

P.S. Kale is one of my most favorite foods in the whole entire world. Especially if you use Lacinto Kale. Saute some garlic in olive oil, add kale and toss around until it's bright green, throw in some red pepper flakes, and you're done. Sprinkle on fresh grated parmesan and you've got yourself some yummo healthy comfort food :)
