Wow! I haven't filled this thing out in ages. On top of that, I haven't been on LiveJournal that much over the summer either. Other things have become more important, I guess. Congrats on the degree -- it's a big deal, and a big step up. I don't know if that's how it seems to you now, but it is!

And congrats, too, on getting a difficult, challenging, but rewarding and necessary job.

Thank you, thank you! *bows* I know it's a big step, but sometimes I get frustrated that I'm 24 and only have an Associate Degree, rather than a Bachelor's Degree and working on my Master's. It is a difficult job, but it's easier to have a smile on my face and get through the day without being too frustrated when you have great coworkers. I'm sure you feel the same way about your firefighting job.

I was 25 before I started really understanding what a huge mistake I'd made by not going to college at all. Of course, by then I'd started to figure out that my plan to be a best-selling novelist by age 21 wasn't working so well ...

I've worked many different jobs, and believe me, I understand how coworkers can effect a person -- for better or for worse!

Don't feel so bad about the novelist career! Baum didn't make it big until he was 44.
