I do have a fondness for the Easy Way, most of the time. I think most of us do. There are definitely times the Easy Way is not the Smart Way or the Advisable Way, however, and one of those is pretty much all of parenting. Or most of it

Whenever I try to do something special with Quinn there's usually a melt down at some point. It's just them processing things. I'm sure he did have a good time just being with you.

We do have to be the heavy. I hate when I yell at Quinn. I try not too and most of the times I don't but sometimes she really pushes limits. We don't believe in physical punishment - it just seems pointless.

When we're one on one, Ethan usually doesn't melt down, which is why it was so hard for me.

I can't imagine using physical punishment, either. All it did to me was make me afraid when I was little.
