Sakura Kinomoto is apparently a normal elementary schoolgirl who is entrusted with the task of collecting the Clow Cards - magical tarot cards which manifest in the real world and must be brought back into control with the magical Clow Staff. The cards were created by Clow Reed, a powerful magician who died some years ago. She is accompanied by a Guardian of the Cards, Cerebus (Keroberos/Kero) and her best friend, Tomoyo Daidouji.
Sakura has an older brother named Touya. Touya is best friends with the object of Sakura's affections, a high school student named Yukito Tsukishiro. Touya also has some magical power to see spirits. Sakura also has a father named Fujitaka. He's a very nice person

Sakura participates in the Judgement after she collects all the Clow Cards. The Judgement is pared out by the OTHER Guardian of the Clow Cards, Yue. Yue appears from Yukito. Apparently, Yue *is* Yukito.
After she passes Yue's judgement, Sakura becomes the new Mistress of the Clow Cards. However, her trials aren't over yet. Yue is slowly getting weaker without magical sustenance, causing Yukito to fade out of existence, and her magic isn't working any more!
At the same time, a new exchange student from England appears. His name is Eriol Hiiragizawa. Eriol reminds Sakura of Fujitaka, her father. He is kind and soft-spoken. He also has a hidden agenda

However, they're usually about 1-2 weeks behind the Japanese releases, so if you're really hardcore you'll just watch ladydarkmoon's LJ for raws every week. and ashura_sama's journal for text translations. OH MY GOD WHY HADN'T THAT OCCURED TO ME!? It all fits! I mean, I knew there was something about Watanuki's looks, but... HE LOOKS LIKE ERIOL! The black hair! The BLUE EYES! It can't be a coincidence! And not only that! And not only that! It's also mentioned that Watanuki learned to cook from his father, WHO WAS AN EXTREMELY GOOD COOK.

Which chapter does Watanuki say "But my parents' names..." in? I don't remember that like and I must go STARE AT IT IN HORROR.
It's chapter 140, page 9 - the last speech bubble on the page. The Japanese is 'demo, [parents] no namae wa ...' (for the life of me I can't remember the pronunciation of the kanji for 'parents')
He says it in the middle of a discussion about his own family name, which suggests to me that he's about to say something about how his parents have a different family name from himself. I might be reading too much into it, but goodness knows CLAMP has made more of less. XD;;
I'm completely caught up on Holic now but I'm only up to the English translations for Tsubasa. ARGH. Stupid intertwining stories. I have a lot to read.

It's so true. They'd be vaguely spoiled but generally polite. They'd play video games against Kero and never win. They'd adore Daddy but they would totally know his 'now is a good time to shut up' look. XD;; And Sakura would be simply brilliant with them. They'd play with the Clow Cards. XD;; Occasionally they'd tell Mommy they saw Grandmother.
