I fell down the basement stairs last night. I am very, very lucky that I didn't break anything or hit my head, but it hurts a lot today D

I hate to admit it, but I am laughing right now XD Not from you being hurt, of course, but from your relating of the tale--especially the part about brushing off the cookies and eating them off the basement floor. I heart you so hard, Caroline! I'm glad both you and the mug survived the spill :( Good thing we have a couple weeks off Aikido for you to recover... though this would make a good tale to tell the men over dinner after class ^_~

I understand, Brandi. You just take joy in my pain :P But seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed my tale : )

I would probably have to sit on the bench if we had Aikido tomorrow. I'm doing better today and even took a walk, but it would definitely hurt too much for people to throw me around at the moment! I'll have to tell the guys that I'm training to get revenge on my mortal enemy, the basement stairs.
Oh! I never replied to your text, but you're welcome for the journal! I saw it and thought of you. I mean, love of LotR never goes away, right? Happy holidays!
That's why I karate-chopped your wrist--I knew the knife wouldn't fly out of your hands... it would just hurt! Ok, so I failed miserably at disarming you with the knife ;) It works sometimes though! I guess if I'm ever attacked with a rubber knife, I'll stick with the Aikido ^_^
Owwie owwie >_< Are you doing anything on the 1st? Would you be interested in a Tai Chi class? I half-jokingly asked John if he was having class that day, and he replied, "I wasn't going to, why? Was you and Caroline wanting to?" I told him I would go if he had class but wasn't sure if you'd be free. If not, no worries! I'm not sure if John's going to have class or not.
LotR love never goes away!! I know what I want to get for you--I just have to find it. It'll be late for Christmas, though... sorry! The penguin card made me go "d'awwww!" out loud--it was really cute!
Thank you! *hugs back* My bruises look worse today, but I actually feel better. I should just tell people that I'm a flying mammal-themed vigilante and got in to a gang fight :P
I'm sure I didn't hit my head, or else I would have gone to the doctor to get it checked out. I had a fall a few years ago where I bruised some ribs, so I got off fairly lightly this time. Thank you for your concern, though!
Eeek, I finally get away to check my Flist and I find out you've been falling down stairs! I hope you're healing up well and not looking too battered...though I have to admit I laughed at the idea of you passing out after breaking a glass. You obviously need to keep a good Victorian swooning couch handy! Or some smelling salts!
*hugs*. The holidays are going well here, though obviously very little alone time to be found! I miss youuuu!
The worst bruise was on my elbow, so it was easy enough to cover up. Since I hang out at a domestic violence shelter all the time, I'm worried that people will get the wrong idea when I'm injured... I'm pretty much fully recovered at this point!
And I seriously do need a fainting couch. The glass thing was just bizarre. I woke up like WTF. My mom has the same fainting-prone condition that I do. I guess it's something to do with the vargas (sp?) nerve.
I'm glad you're having a good holiday and I hope the lack of free time isn't driving you crazy! I miss you too! *hugs*
