It Could Have Been a Brilliant Career

Nnnrgh. I'm sorry I'm so far behind on LJ, but pretty much all I've had time for lately is school and sleep. Unfortunately, that situation is likely to continue until I graduate this summer. I have been Twittering some, so if you're really desperate to hear me bitch about work, you can follow me on there. I will more than likely follow you back! I' ( Read more... )

I'm so horrified by the way the police are handling that! Not...not horribly surprised, but still horrified!

Though I love the two people who knew Diane meeting, that's sad and sweet. Thanks for sharing, even the depressing stuff...

I guess I'm not terribly surprised either, but I think this is the first time they've been so blatant about not giving a shit.

That was my favorite part too :)

I actually went ahead and bought a first edition copy for myself not too long after I killed the library copy, but thank you for thinking of me! I still haven't finished. Some parts of the book are seemingly endless, and I can't believe there's an even longer edition out there. The first part of the book dealing with the plague and its immediate after effects was pretty riveting, but the entire middle of the book is about the survivors wandering around a desolate America and sloooowly coming together. I try to work on it whenever I don't have something else to read :P I'm on a Clive Barker kick at the moment, although most of what I'm reading right now are construction code manuals. Those are about as exciting as you would expect.

As for the Legion election, I guess it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that one of the usual suspects (Brainy, Cos) will be leader, but it seems like everyone on the internet is campaigning for Gates or Quislet. EITHER WOULD BE QUITE INTERESTING.

I didn't even think about the scientists who could be at risk. Judging by how fast a giant tree that was blocking the path got cleaned up, I'm guessing someone from the park service only goes through there every two weeks or so. Time to step up your game, rangers.

Next time they tell you to leave, are you going to just say "no"?

That's what I'm planning at the moment, although maybe I should run that by my boss first. I have a feeling that if I call their bluff, the cops would rather just put up with me being there instead of going through the hassle of arresting me.

I'm glad I was wearing a red shirt today

I'm sorry, I read that bit and started giggling. I'm not sure a red shirt was the wisest choice? :P

As for everything else... *hugs you* I don't know if I could deal with that, and knowing that the police have been lying to you like that... *shakes head* *hugs you again*

Bwahahaha! You are totally right! I didn't even think of that! Perhaps I should go for an orange or yellow shirt instead :)

Thank you very much for the hugs. *hugs back* I hope you are doing all right. I'm going to try to catch up on a LJ a bit this week!
