To borrow Jen's line, I fail at friending!

Aug 13, 2007 14:06

Obviously, I lied about catching up with the f-list last Friday. I'm going to try to do some tonight, after I give my presentation on Rejecting "Femininity": Gender Identity in Lesbians tonight in sociology and memorize where every single country in the Middle East and Asia is for my geography test tomorrow. jen_in_japan, arch_schatten, and starsandsea have all posted fic that I want ( Read more... )

Oooh, the pottery sounds lovely! *hugs about the other stuff* I'm sure they didn't particularly notice--I've come to realize real friends don't tend to note our crabby moods, or are at least understanding about them. They understand that it's a mood and will pass rather than a reflection of your True Self. Which is true! Clouds pass across the moon, but the moon itself is true, you know? Luckily friends tend to see that when we can't...

(But I'm still feeling sad about the bunnies! Bunnies should be cherished!)

It is! There's a tea cup, a dish-thing that I think I'm going to use as an incense holder, and there's a bowl that... Well, it's glazed so that it looks like the ocean washing up on the beach. And my friend almost dropped it while the glaze was still wet, so you can see her hand print if you look closely. I think it's amazing. I would post pictures, but I think she would kill me. I'm a little afraid of her and a little in love with her at the same time.

I'm sure they didn't particularly notice--

Heh. I'm pretty sure they noticed, but I don't think they're particularly upset or anything. However, that doesn't stop me from feeling bad. Anyway, thank you for the hugs! And Dentist Jaime! He always makes me feel better : )

*hugs back*

Isn't that awful? I'm pretty sure that there were some pig and goat fatalities as well. This was just a very bad week for the fair because we've had 100+ degree weather.

This morning in deaf studies, we learned the signs for crack pipe, marijuana, and male masturbation. Good times, good times.
*cackles* That's hilarious! I so need to take that class one of these days XD

I heard that some bunnies died at the fair this year because of the extreme heat.Argh! I know that school vacation is a big reason to have the fair in the middle of summer, but god, I wish they could work something out to have it at a better time of the year. The animals are always so miserable, and people--the ones who aren't showing, that is--tend to not stay very long. My father and little brother went, and they said after about an hour they were ready to leave because of the heat. I've stayed away from it for the past several years for the same reason ( ... )

It was...sort of accidental! See, the sign for umbrella, if repeated, becomes "whacking off" and "cigarette" and "pipe" can become "marijuana" and "crack pipe" if one isn't careful.

Derringer would never subject his little round bunny to summer heat like that.

That is because Derringer is a good person! With an unfortunate crush on his boss... But he takes good care of Elliot the Bunny! I noticed that Derringer did not bring Elliot to the fight.

Did you explain to your friends what happened? I'm sure they'd understand completely.

Yeah, I don't think they're mad or anything, but I still feel bad. I need to learn to let go of things.

*hugs*

I am days and days behind the flist! and about two months behind fb! so.. do I qualify at Failing at Friending club? Maybe we can have a support group! and fail at it! it will be great!

I so want to see Hairspray. The flist is full of good things about it... also, James Marsters, mmmm.

And *huuugs* Of course you deserve it all! the friends, the presents! Hormones are the bane of our existence, ruining our otherwise perfectly rational minds, and you can't blame yourself for breaking down after such a stressful time. *pats pats* It wasn't nice of your friends not to check on your while you had to stop to get yourself together, and well.. I don't think you were stupid. It's hard to control those things. Irrational stupid hormones from hell.. *huuugs* You rock! you deserve the bestest of the best! guaranteed!

It would be! We can...miss meetings! And find other ways to fail!

Thank you. I hate blaming things on hormones, but sometimes we really can't help it! *huuuuuuuugs* You're a great friend!

Also, I just wanted to let you know that I really liked your Jason/Bruce/Clark story. I'm going to go comment on it as soon as I can!
