Last week I chaperoned a Dance Dance Revolution/Guitar Hero 2 tournament for 13 to 15 year-olds at the public library. I ended up having to enter the DDR tourney because there were an odd number of kids who wanted to participate. A few weeks ago, The Friends of the Library had their annual book sale. The Friends are sort of like Band Boosters, only for libraries. They sell discarded library books for dirt cheap and make some money for programs and such ( Read more... )

Anyone remember this? The web comic Search and Research asked for anyone who has worked in an academic library to tell about anything funny that had happened to them at work. I posted the story about the buffalo nickel and it became a comic! I feel famous.
