I most definitely do not want to join my LJ account with either Facebook or Twitter. Hell no! Even though I do have accounts on all three services, I use them for very different purposes.
It's fine if some people want to do that, but what is a completely idiotic move from LJ is the ability to cross-post comments from LJ to those services. EVEN

However, I think that none of the people on my friends list would actually post things to FB, because they would all object to the privacy invasion. We'll see what happens.

Note that it only hides them in your browser, not for anybody else looking at that entry, so it does nothing if you want to stop people crossposting your entry.

I agree w/you too in that, mine (both my LJ & FB) are very different and I wish to keep them seperate as such. I do different things on both of them and my LJ is strictly mostly for fandom stuff. My FB is more personal; not only just my fandom friends but outside friends as well. And even tho my personal albums on FB is mostly Takki pics, I also have various other pics too, as well as myself. So yeah, going that route in linking the 2 sites together would be a really really bad thing for me. =__=
I wouldn't even do this if someone paid me a bajillion dollars for it either. >.< You're just opening up a whole can of worms here regarding privacy issues, as well as security and ID-theft.
