Fruits Basket anime?

Is the Furuba anime worth checking out? I like the manga a lot, but how is the animated version? I'm asking because I spotted the Finnish/Scandinavian box set of the anime fairly cheaply at a store recently and was wondering whether I should get it or not.

I think I've watched the whole anime, but seeing how I can't really remember about it, I think it wasn't too good... I really like the manga, but the anime is like REALLY short and has very little about what makes the manga so good so... Don't know XD; It was too many years ago since I watched it... Although I WAS planning on buying all the DVDs *has 2 of the DVDs but has watched the whole series* so not like it was bad of course... Just not up to the manga's original level.

I enjoyed it. It only covers the first few volumes of the manga, though.

I'll think about it then. The full series for about 25 euros is pretty tempting, though :).

I like the anime, though my perspective is different since I watched the anime before I read the manga. As long as you don't go into it expecting it to be exactly like the manga, you'll probably enjoy it.

The anime is my favorite! Though I also watched it first, and didn't like the differences in the manga. XD

Why don't you try watching it online for free first to see if you like it?
