Thanks for reccing me to those fast-paced vids, they were super helpful!

So now I'm having an issue with audio. Basically, when I'm playing it back in Sony Vegas it sounds great, but when I render it (my render settings say "Audio: QDesign compression") it sound really tinny when I play back the .mov file.

So I want to do a H5-0 vid to the Whtie Stripes cover of 'Jolene'. The first time I heard this cover it was a live version and it rocked! It was so angsty and heartfelt. But the studio version...blows. There is, like, NO emotion. But the live version has applause and whoops and hollers and stuff...that would be totally distracting in a vid right? I ( Read more... )

Since my Sony Vegas Studio doesn't recognize AVI files (it plays the sound, but not the video) I downloaded PCHand Media Converter to convert all my AVI files into MP4s. Problem is, they audio doesn't work- it cutd off about fifteen minutes from the end of each file. Is there any way of fixing this, short of converting the files again? And what ( Read more... )

Hi -- I'm new to vidding and about to start on my second video - the only problem being that once I import my .avi clips into WMM (I use the Vista version, if that is any help), it only plays audio while the preview screen stays black. I'm trying to make a vid in Sony Vegas, but I'm having a problem with the audio. Simply put, I can't hear it. When I play the track, I can see it moving along, but no sound comes out. I'd start off with a 128kb/s 44100 MP3 and convert it to a 44100 WAV file for editing under Premiere 6.5. I'd export the finished vid as an AVI with sound at 48000 and it sounded okay to me. I tried Audacity this year for MP3 to WAV, did my usual export to AVI with Premiere, and followed the instructions on vividcon.com by using LlamaEnc... and ( Read more... )

I've watched some YT tuts and read vidding_tech so this isn't really a problem I'm posting with, I just want to ask if anyone has any settings tips for getting the richest sound on the finished file with Sony Vegas. I'm using high quality source.

I've always made clips without sound while making vids so I never ran into this particular problem before.  In preparation for a con 2 of us are making clips for various panels.  She is using Pinnacle on a pc and I'm making clips with MPEGStreamclip on a Mac.  We are both having problems with out of sync audio.  When I open the ripped files ( Read more... )
