Vidding to live music?

So I want to do a H5-0 vid to the Whtie Stripes cover of 'Jolene'. The first time I heard this cover it was a live version and it rocked! It was so angsty and heartfelt. But the studio version...blows. There is, like, NO emotion. But the live version has applause and whoops and hollers and stuff...that would be totally distracting in a vid right? I cant recall ever seeing a vid done to a live track...thoughts?
