Hopefully I'll get on to more familiar fandoms. ^^: Or not. I just looked at the schedule. I post two BTVS vids next (both Spike-centric), then there's yours, and finally a vid from The Invisible Man, which, okay, the I-Man is pretty obscure. lol!! But I love so many fandoms~!
I also noticed there was a repeat of House putting his cane on the wall blocking someone's path, which was also interesting and adding to the tension.
Good eye! I forgot to mention that, but it was in my original notes. That's what I really love about this--there's so much going on in the clip choices, and I think it takes more than one watch (for me at least) to spot everything the vid is communicating to the viewer. Well that, and I'm an utter dork who will watch vids 3 times in succession if for no other reason than fangirl squeeing. :D
I love Brad for vidding House, there is not enough vidders who work on this show, that's too bad :( This vid is a masterpiece like all Brad's House vids :) I love your commentary, it's really show the work of the vidder, this is how i felt the video too.
It's always so fascinating to see the vid through someone else's eyes! Really helps me see myself and my vids in a different way and, I hope, gives me the self-insight to keep improving.
very strong visual communication in his work, and all of his clips, especially shown in the methods their shown in, are shown that way for a reason What a wonderful thing to say! Honestly, that's why I like vidding House so much, or a big part of it. The show is full of metaphors and poignant, evocative images that can be used out of context to represent so many different things. It's like a little multi-character-study jigsaw puzzle, and all I have to do is put it together. Seems really obvious when I see all the pieces laid out in front of me like that.
House wants to get in on this relationship with Amber and Wilson, but he's alone, and he doesn't like being aloneThat's really the heart of what I was trying to get at - that House is full of bravado and self-confidence, and peeling away people's layers and finding their flaws, and reveling in "

Every time I see that icon, I LOL. I'm not sure why--but I always think of Dexter. :)
I'm really, really glad you liked this, because I was very nervous about it. I did most of these commentaries several times, actually (due to the nervousness), and I wasn't sure if I did yours particularly coherent. So I'm glad it came across okay!

Wow, I never heard anyone say that about the show before, but that's exactly how I see it too, which is why I love your House vids so much (and why I love House in general). The characters in that show interact in amazing ways, and they themselves (especially House) are puzzles in themselves. I think that's why I really keep watching, even though I typically don't find interest in many medical dramas.
But that ultimately he's very alone and he envies the connections that the people around him have. And he miserably clings to Wilson for that reason... without realizing that's what he's doing. In the end, that

Aww, there was no reason to be nervous! You're well-spoken and smart in all of your commentaries.
You're right the characters on House *are* puzzles in and of themselves, and it's nice that the show gives vidders so many cool visual metaphors and zoomy medical imagery with which to work. Can't! RESIST!
Had to skip the rest of your post as I haven't seen past S4 yet. :)
